Over the years this group meditation has come to embody the values we share as a sangha—sangha is Sanskrit for, one’s spiritual community. The meditation techniques or wisdom principles we’re working with evolve from series to series yet our commitment to using our meditation in our everyday lives is a constant.  We value learning how to:

  • Increase awareness of our own thoughts and emotions so we can be less reactive.
  • Listen to others with our full attention and let go of thoughts that want to fix or solve.
  • Release judgment and blame and take responsibility for our own thoughts, emotions and actions.
  • Show up for Life as it really is.
  • Increase our awareness and connection to the qualities of kindness, compassion, love, joy, wisdom, and equanimity.

If this resonates with you, we’d love to have you join us. Previous meditation experience is recommended  for this class. Which simply means:

  • You know how to keep your body comfortable and are comfortable taking care of your needs.
  • You know how to bring your mind back when it wanders without being reminded.
  • You can sit, on your own, with a technique for five to ten minutes.

If you have never meditated before, we highly recommend taking one of our Beginning Meditation Classes to learn some of the basic techniques used in our group meditations. We don’t teach our basic techniques in this class, we use them.
